Sascha Paar is a choreographer, performer and dance facilitator working at the intersection of contemporary dance, performance art and intergenerational practice. Trained at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden, he worked as a dancer at Theater Chemnitz and has performer with Ceren Oran & Moving Borders.

In 2026, he was selected to participate in the prestigious danceWEB Scholarship Programme at ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival.

His dance facilitation extends to the Otto Falckenbergschule and other Munich-based institutions and initiatives, including Bona Dance and Bad Lemons Project, as well as TANZ-GRAZ in Graz. His experience also includes creative production within the independent dance scene and movement direction for NIKE and Zalando.

At the centre of Sascha’s work is his choreographic practice, which explores identity, memory, origin and the body as a carrier of biographical, social and political inscriptions. Rooted in physical research, he uses the tools of movement, voice and sound to work with autobiographical material, participatory formats and spatial or installative settings. His choreographic works include HEIMATKÖRPER (2026), GRENZKÖRPER (2025), Misfit DIVAS (2022) and Isolation Club (2021). His work moves across stage, public space and research contexts.

A particular focus lies on intergenerational encounters and working with older bodies, exploring how lived experience, memory and embodied knowledge can become artistic material. Through TANZZEIT – Generationen in Bewegung, he creates artistic processes in which different generations, bodies and biographies meet. His practice of dance facilitation is closely connected to his choreographic work, creating spaces for individual forms of expression to emerge.

His work investigates how personal histories intersect with social and political narratives on both micro and macro levels, and how questions of age, belonging, care and transmission become visible and audible through the body.
